Embark on an Eleven-Day Toubkal Adventure
Explore spectacular landscapes and the heart of Moroccan mountain life.
This very special 10 day trekking takes you to different, colorful and remote Berber valleys with really small mountain villages, crossing higher passes with unspoiled mountain areas in between. You walk from one to another colorful Berber valley with small terrace fields with green barley or potatoes and ancient walnut trees.
And further on there are even more remote villages surrounded only by meadowing fields and rough mountains.
Views and colors are different everywhere. We have a special tourguide who will learn you some words in Tasselhiyt. So you can make contact to the very friendly Berber people.
The more remote the more simple our Berber guesthouses will get. At the end we sleep up two nights in the comfortable Tamater guesthouse. And make a last daywalk to the pelgrimage spot of Sidi Chamarouch. Nature, culture & adventure.
Itinerary :
Day 1 – Transfer (1h30min.) form your hotel in Marrakech (450m.) to the moutain village of Oukaïmeden (2.450 m). Start walking to the Berber village of Imsker (1.400m); ca. 4,5 hours walking overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 2 – Walking from Timichi over the pass Tizi-n-Outtar to Oukaïmeden (2.450m.); ca. 6 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse )or mountain hut .
Day 3 – Walking from Oukaïmeden to Tacheddirt (2.400m.); ca. 5 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 4 – Walking form Tacheddirt to Imkser (1.400m); ca. 5 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 5 – Walking form Imkser over Tizi-el-Bour (1.550m.) and Tizi-n-Tacht (2.100m.) to Tiziane (1.500m.); ca. 6 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 6 – Walking from Tiziane to Amslane; ca. 6,5 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 7 – Walking form Amslane to the valley of Agoundis valley and up to Tizgui; ca. 6,5 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 8 – Walking from Tizgui to Tizi Oussem (1.550m.); ca. 6 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 9 – Walking from Tizi Oussem over the pass Tizi Mezzik (2.480m.) to Imlil / arghen village (1.760m.) overnight ( Berber guesthouse ) .
Day 10 – Day walk to the pelgrimage spot of Sidi Chamarouch; ca. 5,5 hours walk overnight ( Berber guesthouse )
Day 11 – Transfer (1h15min.) back to your hotel in Marrakech
